Celebrating Culture and Community: Heritage Building Maintenance at Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival

At Heritage Building Maintenance, we are proud to support Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival and the local Latino community that enriches the work we do – and the communities we serve – every day. That’s why we were honored to be a sponsor of this year’s Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival (September 21 and 22).

This lively event is run by Latino Resources, Inc., a non-profit group out of Des Moines that aims to showcase the cultural traditions of Central and South American countries through activities, exhibits, food and education. The festival is a time when families, friends, neighbours and area organizations come together to celebrate the 22 Latin countries represented in Iowa.

Heritage Building Maintenance was pleased to host our own booth at the festival, a space where we could connect directly with the community that means so much to us. Meeting festivalgoers of all ages and cultural backgrounds was a highlight of our time at the festival!

Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival operates in several cities throughout the state. This year, Heritage was thrilled to get more involved with the Cedar Rapids, Iowa Festival which was held on September 14.  This provided us a great opportunity to develop relationships with individuals in another city.

As bronze-level sponsors of the Iowa Latino Heritage Festival, we felt privileged to play a role in making this event possible. It was our way of giving back to the community that has made an immeasurable positive impact on our company over the years. We would like to recognize our team members of Latino heritage, who bring their perspectives, talents, and experiences to Heritage Building Maintenance.

We are already looking forward to next year’s Latino heritage festival. Until then, we express our gratitude to the Latino community for their warmth and hospitality.
